Los Angeles event guide · Photos worth keeping

Great food and music help set the mood. A photo booth gives your guests something to do together—and a little piece of the celebration to take home.
Whether you’re planning a birthday, wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, corporate event, school celebration or private party, the right booth fits your guests, space and event style. This guide walks through the camera, prints, backdrops and practical details that make the experience work.
01 · The guest experience
Give everyone a reason
to step into the frame.
A photo booth is a relaxed activity that friends, family, classmates and coworkers can enjoy alongside mingling and other entertainment. Guests can gather for a group shot, try a prop or return for another photo as the celebration unfolds.
RAD’s premium experience combines a Canon mirrorless camera, professional lighting, instant prints, digital sharing, a custom template, props, one backdrop and an on-site attendant.
02 · Behind the photo
Look at the camera.
Look at the light.
A tablet-based booth can be a good fit for some events. RAD’s premium booth uses a Canon EOS R100 mirrorless camera with professional lighting.
You may see this style marketed in the “DSLR photo booth” category, but the actual camera here is mirrorless. When comparing options, look at sample photos, the lighting setup, print choices and the support included—not just the label.

03 · A keepsake, your way
Print it. Share it.
Keep the whole gallery.
Prints with personality
Choose on-site 2×6 photo strips or 4×6 photos. A custom template can incorporate names, a date, your colors, a logo or a short message that fits the celebration.
Digital copies, too
Guests can text or email copies when reliable internet is available. After the event, the host receives the full gallery at no additional cost. Ask the venue about Wi-Fi before the day arrives.
04 · Set the scene
Six backdrops.
One look that feels like you.
One 8×8-foot backdrop is included. Think about how its colors will work with your photo template, outfits and overall event style.

05 · Someone to keep things moving
Your attendant handles
the booth details.
The attendant sets up the equipment, camera, lighting and props; helps guests use the booth; monitors the printer; and handles breakdown. That gives you one less activity to manage while hosting.
Setup typically begins 45–60 minutes before the start. Setup and breakdown are outside your active rental time, so confirm venue access early enough for the equipment to be ready.
06 · Save this venue checklist
A great photo starts
with a workable space.
About 10×10 feet
Allow a level setup area, plus a practical route for guests to enter and leave without blocking nearby activity.
Power within about 50 feet
Plan for a standard outlet near the setup. Confirm the proposed position with RAD and your venue.
Reliable internet
Ask about venue Wi-Fi if instant text and email sharing are part of your plan.
Protection outdoors
Outdoor setups need a covered or shaded location with appropriate protection from sun, rain and wind.
Not sure your spot will work? Send the proposed area’s details and ask about sharing photos before booking.
07 · Put it into the party plan
Choose timing around
the event you’re hosting.
Your guest count, schedule and venue help determine the rental timing. Think about when people will arrive, when food or speeches happen, and when the booth will be easiest to enjoy.
For an event with multiple activities, ask about pairing the booth with laser tag, foam, Hero Blast or mini golf. Confirm space, staffing and the schedule for each activity in your quote.
What should your quote cover?
Ask for the rental duration, current package options, inclusions and any travel charges. The premium experience includes the equipment and lighting, props, one backdrop, prints, digital sharing, a custom template, the event gallery and an attendant.
Travel is based on driving distance from RAD’s Woodland Hills warehouse, with a 30-driving-mile included range. The booking form calculates travel for your event address; a city name alone does not determine the charge.
A few questions
before you book.
Can we use our logo or event colors?
Yes. Custom templates can include your logo, colors, names, event date or a message. Discuss the design when planning your booking.
Do we receive printed and digital photos?
The premium booth offers on-site 2×6 strips or 4×6 photos, plus text or email sharing with reliable internet. The host receives the full event gallery after the event at no additional cost.
Can the photo booth be used outdoors?
Outdoor setups need a covered or shaded space and appropriate protection from sun, rain and wind. Confirm the proposed location and conditions with RAD before booking.
Does setup count toward the rental time?
No. Setup and breakdown are outside the active rental. Setup typically takes place 45–60 minutes before the start, so coordinate venue access in advance.
